Advanced BIM Authoring Documentation and Detailing Techniques in Archicad

Description

With BIM evolving more and more every day, industry standards are constantly evolving and demanding more from construction documentation.

BIM documentation is fundamental to BIM and is required at various stages depending on the project life cycle as documented in the ISO 19650 standard.

BIM-specific documents provide project or owner/manager information that ensures the entire project team is aligned. This helps the team understand how data flow and management is generated and shared throughout the project lifecycle.

Projects with coordinated BIM documentation have more efficient results. This is due to the adherence to a clear and concise set of documents that are produced at the beginning of the project and since we are constantly adapting to the needs of the project, they are automatically updated with the changes of the project. Accurate BIM documentation provides a stable structure to ensure the delivery of a BIM compliant project. Because of this, we can ensure that the project team is provided with the right data flow and management throughout the project lifecycle. Without BIM Authoring, the model is nothing more than a 3D model outside of BIM standards.Participants will develop specialized capabilities in documenting and creating construction details at an advanced BIM Author level via the Archicad software.
